Tutor Refugees in Math and IT

  • Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg 10997 Berlin, Berlin Germany (map)

Bantabaa was founded in the beginning of 2015 in Kreuzberg. Bantabaa is Mandinka, a West African language and means "encounter". Bantabaa aims to give refugees full support and stands for integration of refugees, meeting them at eye level in order to listen to their stories and to help them to take their future in their own hands.

Because many refugees in their homeland did not have the opportunity to go to school, there is often a lack of basic knowledge, such as simple plus, minus, time, and split calculations. In addition, we want to teach them basic IT skills, such as booking and paying a bus ticket to allow them more independence.

You'll teach basics of math as well as some handy skills for using a computer/ vending machines etc.

Your support is needed on a long-term basis
