JungleGym 2019 Summer Series Multi-Date Volunteer Opportunities

Concrete Safaris' JungleGym 2019, a NYC DOT Weekend Walks event, is a 1-block run through a 20-obstacle challenge for children and their families, and an active living fair. The event is designed by the 7-24-year-olds in Concrete Safaris' City Surfers after school program and led by 14-24-year-old youth in Outdoor Leadership Academy internship program. Children (ages 5+), teens, and adults will have the opportunity to race as they hop, leap, crawl, and wiggle through 20+ obstacles designed by Concrete Safaris' students in the organization's seventh annual JungleGym obstacle race and 11th birthday party. Volunteers will help with set-up, breakdown, and all aspects of run-of-show for this event series.

VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE

Individuals can register to volunteer for the full-day or half-day. This year, we need volunteers to help check-in racers, set-up and break down stations and the course, manage specific obstacles, distribute water, awards, t-shirts, and swag bags, and act as team leaders for various sections of the race and each day's activities
