Animal Socialization at Oregon Humane Society.

  • 1067 Northeast Columbia Boulevard Portland, OR, 97211 United States (map)

This session starts out with a 45 minute training/tour.* The training includes information on the shelter and animal handling skills and a volunteer session on socializing with the dogs in our outside yards (bring a coat if the weather is not good) and visiting time in colony rooms with the cats. Your volunteer session will help us give the animals the attention they crave and help them develop the social skills they need to find new homes

The Oregon Humane Society’s mission is to foster an environment of respect, responsibility, and compassion for all animals through education, legislation, and leadership; to care for the homeless, to defend the abused, and to fight with unrelenting diligence for recognition of the integrity of all animals.
