story

Beginnings
2009–2014

Simon Kirk and Danny Aranda have an idea – if everyone at a workplace donates a small amount monthly to their favorite charity, the numbers quickly add up. They start collaborating with tech startups in NYC, calling the movement TechiesGiveBack (TGB).

Rising up
2014–2018

TGB’s vision crystalizes through formal partnerships with workplace tech platforms and an expanded client roster. TGB achieves 501(c)3 status in 2014 and officially becomes RaisedBy.Us in 2016. In 2018, the organization hits its first milestone of $1M directed to charities worldwide.

Doing more good
2018–Present

RBU continues to grow its operations and impact. Hiring full time staff, expanding its board, and increasing clients served - RBU mobilizes tens of thousands of employees to make a difference. In 2022, RBU’s portfolio directs a record $3M to charity and hits $12M donated since inception.
